Excellent opportunity for a well-rounded Tech Support person who is:
Highly skilled in trouble-shooting both hardware and software problems: TCP/IP connectivity and problems with Internet applications, networking, API and software problems.
Knowledgeable of JAVA programming ; familiarity with C# and Perl is a plus.
Our client, a very successful financial technology company , is seeking a Tech Support person to join a Call Center supporting highly technical customers . Will trouble-shoot and resolve wide variety of problems including API and software issues. Must understand basic programming issues (ideally Java but experience with C# or with Visual Basic is also a plus). This Call Center technician will also trouble-shoot problems with connectivity, internet applications, networking and software. Must have excellent trouble-shooting skills and a passion for resolving technical issues. Should enjoy both networking and programming. Requirements.
Good knowledge of Java and an excellent understanding of programming.
Excellent PC trouble-shooting abilities with knowledge of MS-Windows systems (TCP/IP connectivity, DNS, etc).
Thorough understanding of Internet related applications.
Telephone tech support experience is a strong plus.
Skills C#, VB or Perl are a significant plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve technical problems with technical and non-technical customers.
Unix, Linux or Sun Solaris systems is a strong plus.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
BS Computer Science with a good academic record.
To be considered must have a US Green Card or US Citizenship
Location: Stamford, CT
Compensation: $45,000 to $60,000 plus excellent annual bonuses and superior benefits
